Lovely Hotel, Disappointing Service
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful — the views, the overwater bungalows, and the facilities are all stunning. However, I was disappointed with how differently we were treated for booking through Expedia. It was clear that the staff didn’t appreciate the reservation being made via a third party, and despite being a Gold Member with Expedia, I received almost no recognition or benefits. I had to ask multiple times to have my food and beverage credit honored, and they initially tried to charge me more in resort fees and taxes than what was outlined in my Expedia confirmation. I had to wait until the very last day to get the charges adjusted correctly before I could check out. For a luxury hotel, I expected a smoother and fairer experience, regardless of the booking platform.
