Centrally located budget hotel
We stayed at Floral Chaweng upon reaching Koh Samui for two nights and were overall happy with our choice. The hotel is a great location making it very convenient to shop and eat around main Chaweng area. The central festival is about 8 minutes walk while Chaweng public beach (not so big though) is hardly 5 minutes by walk from the hotel property. The famous Ark Bar is 6-7 mins by walk.There are plenty of restaurants, massage parlors, grocery/tuck shops and souvenirs shops nearby as well. One of the iconic things about this hotel is the lovely staff they have. Always smiling and ready to help you out. Special thanks to Ms Tua/Tuva who was a lovely host. We were welcomed with juices upon check in followed by a complimentary cake and fresh fruits in the room which was really kind of them :)
We had booked a premiere room with jacuzzi that turned out to be faulty to our disappointment. Moreover, the shower cabinet did not have proper lights working and on the second day, the water was unbearably hot and therefore unusable. Even though we had reported these on the first day, they were not able to resolve the issues. Due to the issue with shower, Ms Tua/Tuva let her use another room for shower and gave us a couple of hours extra for checking-out which was pretty flexible.This was the only negative thing we experienced during our stay. Other than that, everything was good.The room was big and had an Ok bed. Pool is great and the breafkast is limited but ok. Great location
