The hotel is a high-ranking 3-star in my opinion. It was clean, the staff was friendly, the location perfect right next to the Duomo. The bathroom was quite small and there was a strange smell coming from the pipes, but it didn't matter too much really. As a single traveller it was just perfect within the pricerange it is. The breakfast is wonderful and if you want to enjoy a small bottle of wine in the evenings on the terrace the staff will give it to you with a smile. And what a view! I didn't see the Duomo from my window, but reading descriptions in previous recommendations I really didn't expect to either. Be prepared for the elevator though, it's a scary little thing, but you get used to it. I usually took the stairs down and the elevator up. It's not a very soundproof hotel though. The doors I mean. I never heard anything from the other rooms, but I could hear everything amplified from the hallways. Overall it's a nice hotel and I would probably book it again unless I decided to go up in price and stars.
