We visited Hotel de Fierlant during the week, Monday to Friday. Some work is being done on the neighbouring building, and construction-noise occurred around 7/8 every morning, not a big issue for us since we got up around then anyways. It will be a problem if you want to sleep longer though, as it is a bit loud. You can probably ask to get a room facing the other street. Very nice staff, helpful with everything! And the breakfastbuffet was very nice! Everything you need for a good start. The location was a bit dodgy, but we never experienced anything other than people hanging around when walking to and from the tram/bus, which is about five minutes away. We did witness a tourist being robbed on the metro though! Someone took his phone when he was talking on it and ran as the doors were closing, so be careful with your things when you are in crowded places! To sum everything up I would say this hotel gives value for the money, it has an overall clean and cosy look, and the staff are very friendly! It seems a better than the impression you get from the surrounding area.
