Ok for one night
The city is beautiful, but the hotel would not get this high rating being located anywhere else. I am normally focusing on the positive, but I think it is better for guest to know what to expect, rather than being disappointed. Positive: perfect location in the middle of the beautiful small town San Gimingnano
Else: Uncomfortable bed, flat and hard pillows. Absolutely nothing extra/ more than necessary, like an extra pillow, a bag of tea etc. The breakfast is low in quality, worst so far on our Italy-trip. In total it didn’t feel like they are trying to create comfortable stays, or a place guest should want to return to. Felt as they had given up somehow.
You will “survive” one night, and a ok option in San Gimingmano (as it is a very small place), but this is not a hotel to relax and enjoy a weekend or so.
I can see that some reviews complains about the parking: the city is on UNESCOS world heritage list. This is a city everyone needs to park outside the city walls when visiting. That is not the hotels fault.
