We stayed in Seyyida for four nights and found both the hotel and the room to be charming, but somewhat imperfect. Walls were thin and we could hear both the neighbor room TV and street conversations. There was no door (but a curtain) dividing the bathroom from the sleeping room. The in-room safe was too small to hold even an iPad, and the free Wi-Fi did not extend to our room. In the lobby we got a connection, but with rather low bandwidth. The location of the hotel was great, however, near Forodhani in the outskirts of the Old Town maze. Breakfast, served in their rooftop terrace restaurant Lu Lu, was good and the rooftop view was terrific. Lunch and dinner had variable quality. The staff made sure to come in and spray the mosquito net of our bed every evening. There were some brief power blackouts, but this happened everywhere we stayed in Tanzania.
