The hotel was supposedly newly opened, which made us think that the hotel was actually new and fresh. This was definitely not the case. It felt as if this was an old hotel that had just gotten a cheap facelift.
The bathroom felt dirty and worn down, the interior looks good in the pictures, but cheap and tacky in real life. The bed, pillows and quilt also felt super cheap and was uncomfortable to sleep in. The bed did not have a top mattress which made it very uncomfortable.
The outdoor area and pools were lacking finesse and felt partly like a party cruise and partly like a family charter hotel.
We only tried the restaurant down by the pool, the food was horrible which made us dine out of the hotel for the rest of our trip.
The gym in the hotel was very nice, and you have access to all common areas at the Mondrian next door. The Mondrian felt much nicer and cleaner than Hyde.
The view from the hotel is also very nice, and the location is good with the ferry to Formentera right outside as well ss plenty of good restaurants and hiking opportunities close by.
