A brand new hotel with typical Kempinski interior design. I stayed there during F1 Bahrain Grand Prix, and the hotel surprised me with a gift of two ear muffs. My room on the top floor was large and very nice with a nice bathroom. Very welcoming reception indeed, and very efficient in-room dining. The hotel might still have some manning issues. The lonely concierge was totally overworked, and the same was the lonely staff in the ground floor cafe during my pre noon visit there. The neighborhood was neither good nor bad, it was actually nothing, except the adjoining City Centre shopping mall. Very complicated service road system to the hotel (both for going to and from the hotel). Need taxi or car for going anywhere. But to be frank, Bahrain is really not for walking anywhere anyway.
