Traveling south through Europe by car, the JUFA Hotel Malbun turned out to be a different and refreshing stop at about 1600 m a.s.l. in the mountains above Vaduz. The hotel is quite new, and the standard is top notch. We had two family rooms, and both were equally large with very comfortable beds. With 90 °C the Finnish (dry) sauna pleases us connoisseurs, a great plus for a very satisfactory spa area. Steam and infra-red saunas were also available. Dinner and breakfast were impeccable, and the kid’s menu pleased picky kids. In addition, the dining area had a whole table reserved for smaller kids, with toys, pencils and paper. A “climb park room” next to the dining area, kept the older kids busy, leaving parents free to enjoy the meal and a beverage in the bar afterwards. The hotel is situated in the ski resort Malbun, and while we visited the hotel in the summer, it is tempting to come back for some telemark and slalom in the winter.
