First of all, make no mistake, this is a very nice hotel. But, the feeling you get when stay there is that it is more of a convention centre then hotel. You can see that the staff and atmosphere is more geared towards this purpose. The staff that greets you upon arrival tries to do their best, but the lack of sufficient English is a problem. The lifts are overdue for service with almost one year, which is scary.
One of the best things with this place is the breakfast. Here you can get almost all you want and need. The rooms are ok and comfortable in size and form. However, I do not understand the need of having a huge window in the toilet/ shower instead of a wall, looking out to the room. I am sure that we are not all exhibitionists, wanting to show off all we have to others! The toilets were ok clean but you can see that the hotel is getting to be a few years old. Toilet seat loose and zircon display dead.
The food in restaurants is just adequate, not great and the size of the portions are small. The pool is nice, but not heated, which means that during rainy season, you have to be pretty brave to use it. The water gets very cold. During our stay, the pool area was closed not once, but twice due to private party. First there was a private celebration of Loy Krathong, so it was closed the evening before and the whole day after. Then a wedding when they build a stage the whole night to Sunday and the wedding start at 7am on Sunday morning! And soundcheck at 4am! Why??
