One night in the basement in room nr. 9!
We paid full rate for the hotel (160,- CHF) in a standard twin room, including breakfast, and were given a very small run-down room in the basement. It would not have been upgraded in the last 25 years. To get there you took the elevator or stairs to the basement, entered a dark corridor through a large steel door, walk past rooms that were not used as guest rooms, but changing rooms, past a bunker, and to the end, next to an activated fire escape route. Our door had been broken into at one stage and shabbily fixed, but the locked worked (we made sure to check). The room did have a view of the village and was quiet, which was about the only two things going for it! The free WIFI did not work in the room, there was not coffee/tea making facilities (we had to sign for a kettle at reception and buy tea at the restaurant for 1CHF each tea bag). The beds were 80cm narrow and hard - no over mattress. The bathroom was tiny but clean and functional. We did not bother making a fussy as we were so tired after a long day skiing and were staying for one night.
The sauna area was OK, but the hotel did not control the normal sauna policy of ´no bathing suits´. Loads of people filled the sauna/steam room with bathing suits on making it very uncomfortable for us that followed the normal policy.
The dinner buffet was good, as expected and varied. The breakfast was also good, except for the watered down coffee. The service was good and the staff were polite and fast.
