Awesome cheese omelettes for breakfast!
The hotel is well maintained. The staff is really helpful and friendly. It was no problem to extend my stay into the evening, as I had a middle-of-the night flight out of Muscat
The check-in went fast. The hotel is equipped with two pairs of elevators, one pair at each side of the Atrium restaurant. Very convenient, the waiting time can be measured in seconds. The elevators are spacious and equipped with glass walls. I was very pleased to find complimentary bottles of water in my room. The fridge is of standard size. It is also very nice to find power outlets located above the desk. I hate having to get down on the floor and crawl around to look for power outlets that are hidden away, out of sight. The internet connection was fast. It was not a problem to download podcasts and stream videos.
The food in the Atrium restaurant is good. I'd like to compliment the omelette cook; the cheese and mushroom omelettes were an awesome way to start the day! I tried one fish dish for lunch. It was tasty and generous in size. There is also a small coffee shop with cakes and sweets in the lobby area, as well as a kebab restaurant. The chicken kebab and Turkish pizzas were great.
There were a Spar and other local stores in the vicinity of the hotel.
I find that Muscat is a more relaxed and genuine city than e.g. Dubai. I will definately go back to Oman soon, and am looking forward to stay at the Best Western Premier Muscat again.
