The hotel is really nice. The rooms are beautifull, the bathroom was clean and the restaurant served great, fresh food. All over, the staff was really helpfull and the service was great, but the staff working at the reception when we arrived, did absolutely not manage basic costumer service. We had ordered a room with a queensize bed, but got the message that they were out of those rooms, and that we had to get a room with two single beds. This stuff happends, we understand that. But as a couple looking forward to spending a night together at a nice hotel, this is ofcourse disappointing. You would assume there would be some sort of compensation, but no. They just kept smiling, appoligizing, and saying: "Nooo, same prize, sorry. Hope its not a problem!" When we said: "yes, ofcourse its a problem that we have to pay the same prize for something other than what we ordered", it didnt seem to make sense to them. We also asked if the beds could be pushed together, and the answer was "no, you cant do that. Sorry.". When we got to the room, ofcourse the beds could be pushed together. No problem at all. We were a little shocked that such a nice hotel, didnt manage to provide basic customer service at the check in. Never experienced that before, at any restaurant or hotel - no matter the standard.
