We came by car from Manchester, and were delayed due to traffic.
We called ahead, and gave notification of our late arrival; approx. 10 PM.
This was said to be no problem, and they would stay there until 10:30 PM. So far, so good.
When we arrived at 9:58 PM, the "receptionist" at the Pub/Inn seem bothered, and made me feel not very welcome.
I asked her were I could park, and she said didn't know, but I could try across railway tracks. I drove around for half an hour, before I found a chance-spot in a rural area.
My daughter, who took our luggage to go to our room, as I parked, was meet by the receptionist, whom asked if she need help with the suitcases. She replied, "Yes, sure". However, the receptionist did not help her at all !??
We were also told by the receptionist we had to be out by 8:30 AM, but were able to extend it till 10:00 AM, as I said was dead-tired after the 5-hour drive from Manchester.
However, the next morning the Housekeeper, smilingly told us, of course there was no rush; take your time. She also said, there had been no message from the receptionist of our check-out status.
