I booked this hotel after reading about it in Condé Nast Traveler, where this area and hotel said to be the best in Stockholm. I disagree. Hotel is located in Söder, not a nice area in Stockholm. Nothing to see- or do. Few restaurants and bars. 45 min. walk to the city center, the walk starts to get nice when you get to Gamla Stan (Old town), 10 min. by tram.
Hotel is located in a basement (as stated on their web site). Checked in in the evening, guy in the reception was very serious. Room 14 at the end of the corridor, was dirty - A LOT of stains on the wall, the bathroom was not cleaned- razor left from previous guests, shower was dirty. I stayed 3 nights, room was not cleaned once while I stayed here.
Paper thin walls, can hear conversations (and other things) from the rooms next door. Smoke from cigarettes came into my room trough the ventilation. There is also something "wrong" with the key cards, that are beeping when the door is not closed/ and the key card is not placed properly. Doors slamming and walls shaking, every time it started to beep from one of the rooms. The hotel should inform their guests about this when they arrive. One would think that telling the hotel staff about those issues would help, but this hotel is not staffed after 22PM! In case of emergencies, You have to call a cell number.
For the price You are paying You get very little. Book another hotel.
