The building is still relatively "new", about 10 years old, but it desperately needs a thorough updates. Avoid rooms with carpets (they have ones with tiles).
The problem would be the under-staffing, even that they were very nice and respectful to guests. The rooms are large, the bed is large with good, firm mattress, and they have a (not-so-cold) fridge and plenty of cabinet space to store your items. I can see it used to be a pretty nice hotel, but at this current condition, I would not recommend anyone to stay more than 2 nights there, even though the price seemed to be pretty low for the area. Everything is falling apart. We had issues with ants, most likely because guests would put their dirty dishes in front of their rooms and it remained there for many hours with nobody picked them up. Towels were old and had many dirt spots, molds in the bathroom, etc. The positive thing we had was the food. It tasted above average for 2 or 3-star hotels with free-breakfast. Coffee was amazing. They had an egg counter, but as the hotel is understaffed when we stayed, sometimes there would be no one there, and many times the security guard at the front had to multitask and also became the cook for the egg counter. It was a bit funny to see when you stayed longer enough to observe. I would not blame the staff, as they already did the best they could, but the Dreamtel hotel management had to update the hotel and also add more staff.
