Didn’t live up to the hype!
This hotel needs some help. The pictures are nice but deceiving. The concierge was ok checking in however the experience with the other staff went down from there. The room was clean but the pool deck was not. It looked thrown together last minute. Biggest disappointment was the staff at night and in the restaurants. The bartenders were clearly new to the profession. One bartender had to look up how to make an Old Fashion. That’s a top 10 drink that should be automatic. The food was bland so I didn’t eat most of my dinner. The bartender noticed and even after I mentioned that it didn’t hit the expectation he emphasized, there was no accommodation. He could tell I wasn’t enjoying the drink or food and got offended. My wife and I thought it was silly but chalked it off to inexperience. We tabbed out and let the manager know we were surprised we were charged for everything since we let the staff know it wasn’t good. He apologized, made excuses regarding new staff, and said there was nothing he could do. We left more shocked than anything. I’d recommend passing on this hotel as there are plenty of other nice options in the area that are established.
