The positive first:
The hotel is centrally located. It is walking distance to most things. There are restaurants, bars, shopping and cafes in the area. And there is a grocery store right next to the hotel. The hotel is clean. Hotel staff are pleasant and helpful. I was allowed to change the check-out time to later since my flight was late.
If one is interested in booking bustours, the hotel is near the departure point: Statue of Eleftherios Venizelos. Most, if not all goes from here. It's only 5 to 10 min walk depending on the pace you walk with.
The negatives: It is clearly an old hotel. Not necessarily negative, but if you are interested in newer facilities, this can be a downfall. It was a bit cumbersome to have to hand the key back every time you go out. Doesn't go well with someone who is a bit timid like me.
The worst was the smoking. But again, this is not necessarily the hotel's fault as many people in Greece smoke. There could be a smell of smoke in the lift, and really disgusting as they are small and hot. I often smelled smoke in the room when I used the air conditioner. It may well be that those in the next room were smoking on the balcony or others in the backyard.
I could book the hotel again, but maybe not for as long. The hotel is relatively cheap, but I don't think it's quite worth what I paid for it.
