I booked a room with a king sized bed for a Valentines Day trip with my wife. We get there to check in and find out they don’t have our room available, they’ve overbooked, and we’ve been downgraded to a room with two full sized beds. I was sternly told that they do not have the room, it is what it is. I asked if we could get some sort of partial refund, free parking (parking was $22 found that out upon arrival ), or something. I was told by the associate that she would have to ask her manager, she couldn’t authorize anything (never got anything from the hotel). I ended up getting on Hotels.com chat support and was granted some onekey cash ($50) once we got to our room.
Get to the room, it’s 62 degrees and the thermostat doesn’t work. I had to call and get maintenance to come up (they arrived quickly). The room was decently clean but felt a little dated, older tv…etc.
The next morning we can’t get the shower to turn off. The handle keeps spinning. Shower pressure and sink pressure is bad too. We finally find a sweet spot where the shower just kind of drips instead of runs.
We had paid for the breakfast at Biscuits and Jams but the lady at the front desk had only given me 1 set of the vouchers when I checked in, so I had to go back to the front desk and show my receipt (after a bit of back and forth) to get our other set of vouchers.
Rain was flooding from the pool area into the carpeted hallway, loiterers in the lobby always asking me for the wifi password…
