Avoid this resort. We stayed here with a group of 17 people and had a terrible experience. The main issues were mold in the rooms, roaches, and toilets that didn't flush. Everyone in our group encountered these problems. The ceiling fan was covered in dust, and we were told this was normal due to the weather. The resort is outdated and in need of renovation. We had to request toilet repairs daily from check-in to check-out, often waiting hours for someone to address the problem. Sometimes, we'd return from meals or activities to find our room smelly from the issue. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the food was only average. The alcohol selection was poor, and I preferred not to drink rather than settle for the low-quality options available. I would have considered paying for an upgrade if it had been offered. Additionally, some of us suffered from diarrhea for two days, likely due to uncooked steak that was left out at room temperature in the buffet area. The $1,355 resort credit per room, per stay was disappointing. After checking in and downloading the Riu app, we found that the credit was divided into small amounts, allowing only $10 to $20 off at a time. We tried to use it at the spa but only received a $20 discount per person, while the cheapest massage was $175. The pools are always overcrowded, water was hot like a sauna. The volleyball was ripped and deflated. We asked if they had another for us to use but they didn’t have one. The elevators were out of service,
