It was a very nice reception area, alot of available showers and toilets, very clean, and fortunately an elevator. Plus free sheets! I was positively surprised. It was easy to find from the subway-stop as well.
There were only two problems:
1) the subway-station didn't have a good location. To get to the center of the town, you have to go in the wrong direction. For example, to get to Berlin Hbf, you have to travel BACK to Zoo. Garden and then change to Hbf. If not you either went south or north - no west. But it wasn't really a hazzle to get to the hostel, it's quite nice located.
2) No air-condition made it extremly hot. And the hostel has a very strict "no noise after 22:00"-policy, but the noise from the backyard doesn't seem to bother them. Which was unfortunate for us, since we had to leave the windows open because of the heat.
Due to the price and location I highly recommend this hostel. It was surprisingly clean, and there were showers and toilets around every corner. Just don't go in July when there is 35 degrees celcius!
