Just skip this hotel...
The last year we have spent approximately 80-100 nights in different hotels. This is the first time we ever felt the need to write a review to warn others.
As you walk into the hotel you are greeted with a sign that claims the hotel has 5 stars. However when we looked at independent rankings the hotel was nowhere to be found.
The hotel is as visually appealing in real life as in the pictures. However...
... It is surrounded by construction sites consequently it is dusty, noisy and hard to get around.
... Due to the hotels location we needed to take a taxi pretty much wherever we wanted to go.
... The bathroom is run down, dirty and the toilet leaked in two of the rooms we stayed in (we were moved 3 times before we decided to leave the hotel).
... There were mold in the shower of all the 3 rooms we stayed.
... There were toenail clippings on the bedroom floor in one of the rooms.
... We ran out of toilet paper. After 3 days and us asking twice they still did not refill it.
... There were holes in several of the towels we were given.
... The hotel's car service took almost twice as long and cost twice as much as a regular taxi (the driver got lost and had to check Google Maps three times - going to a relatively well known location).
... The atmosphere of the hotel is just a bit unpleasant.
As a consequence of these factors we decided to cut our trip to Doha short and leave early.
In all honesty they try really hard but it just feel a bit amateurish.
