Ultra-modern hotel 5 min walk from Hauptbahnhof and Old Town. Very good location. The entire hotel features black marble and brightly colured furniture as its main decorative theme. I purchased an upgrade to a so-called "apartment", which was nothing but a hotelroom with a kitchenette. Part of the bathroom (sink, mirror) was open, but with WC in own compartment to the left and shower compartment to the right. Ridiculous light swithes with odd locations and impossible to read text. Shower compartment was 100% black marble with blue (!) LED lighting. Rather than normal taps, the showers was operated by miniature black(!) swithes flysh mounted in the wall, without background lighting. You need glasses and a torch to figure out how it works, if you manage to locate the switches. Total joke, and a ridicolous sacrifice of function to design and "modernity". What really irritated med. The room had a coffe machine, as most high-standard hotels offer. there were no coffee pods, however, and when I requested them, I was told I had to go down to the reception and buy them at 1EUR each! What an insult, and another misjudgment of what makes a guest happy. Breakfast was excellent, with friendly staff, which can not be said about the reception staff. Very cool and businesslike.
