This was easily the worst hotel stay we have ever had. Firstly, the internet was a constant problem. Free WiFi but only if you have the patience to sign in repeatedly, and return to the front desk multiple times per day (each time) for new 'vouchers' -- including replacements for those that simply do not function.
Additionally, any request you make will be met with the requirement that you come down to the desk to get it...so don't bother asking for a second towel, or anything else by phone.
Finally, the hotel is nothing to look at: more like a tasteless apartment block - windows to the lovely views of Amsterdam were filthy, making it impossible even to take a photo of it. Rooms are very small, and good enough for a short stay, but you can easily do better for the cost. (A hostel is likely to have more charm and service, in fact.)
Their idea of service is pitiful and I would never choose to stay here again.
Luckily, Amsterdam is charming and we had lovely weather, but this hotel gets a big thumbs down for the frustration factor. You don't need this on vacation.
Also: there is a bus (245) on the local service (eg, free with a travel card...) that leaves from just around the corner from the hotel, and takes only 30 minutes to Schiphol Airport, instead of the 16euro per person per trip 'service' that the hotel offers.
