The room we received at check-in (Floor 5, Room 711) looked nothing like the booking photos. It was bland, lifeless, and bore no resemblance to the luxurious accommodations we expected based on our prior stays at this hotel. Years ago, the rooms were elegant, well-appointed, and truly reflective of a five-star establishment—which is why we returned. However, what we experienced this time was nothing short of a complete downgrade.
The beige, uninspired décor stripped the room of any charm.
The bedding was off-white, dull, and visibly worn.
The mattresses and coverings looked aged and overused.
The furnishings were minimal, as if chosen solely to prevent theft.
Frankly, this room felt closer to a low-tier motel than a luxury hotel. It lacked the refinement and quality expected from a property of this caliber—one that has, in the past, been comparable to stays at The Ritz-Carlton. This was not a five-star experience.
