This hotel is in a lovely location, and was ok for a 1 night stay. However, sadly, most of the interior of the building looks as though it was thrown together in a hurry, using the cheapest materials.
The door to our bathroom did not shut properly, the wardrobe was constructed out of cheap, white furniture board & the handles were missing from the drawers, meaning you could not open them.
The breakfast room looked lovely, and was in keeping with the age of the building. It was like we were staying in 2 very different properties, and it's a real shame the rest of the building is not of a similar quality.
The hotel website mentions a "Renovation Project", which began in 2016. My guess is the budget for the renovation was all spent on the reception area.
We booked a room with a view of the canal, and this was the best part of our accomodation.
