We stayed here for three nights. When we arrived at the hotel, the name on the apartment was different from the one in the booking. The hotel was apparently "new," and the renovations were still somewhat unfinished. There was a smell of paint in the air, and the terrace fence looked new. We were handed the keys, and there was an information folder in the room. There was no mention of payment. When we asked about it, we were told it had already been charged, even though the booking said payment would be made on-site.
Over the next few days, we heard activity right outside our door starting at 8 am. A decoration and artificial grass appeared on the "terrace", which was glued down using a solvent-based adhesive. The smell of solvent spread into the room. We complained about this, but reception simply said that if the smell was somewhat gone with the air conditioning, then the issue was resolved. The glue smell stayed on our "terrace" for the whole stay. As a result, we couldn’t make use of the outdoor area or the bathtub.
Other example of the lack of information was when we asked if the front door would be locked after reception hours. They told us it would be unlocked. When we arrived later to the hotel the door was locked. That is how we found out that one of the keys we were given was for the front door. A clear lack of service-mindedness and experience was evident in conversations with the reception staff.
The room was a clean and comfortable with a small kitchen.
