You always have some kind of expectations when you visit a hotel. Are the breakfast good? How are the beds? What is the service like? How does it look?
And the less you pay the more nervous you are. Valuewise I think Hotel Secesja is probably among top 3. There were some complaints about breakfast, but it was a nice pleasant surprise....not fantastic, but absolute average plus. A quiet neighboorhood with decent beds, maybe just a bit hard, but that is the way I like it, so no complaints there. Eastern-Europe is not exactly known for fantastic service and big smiles, but as a Scandinavian I find this quite acceptable.
I would recommend this hotel any day of the week IF you are on a budget. Not luxury, but that is not what you have paid for.
