BEWARE: This hotel is not forthcoming with their fees regarding pets. The website and text check-in system both state that the pet fee is XX/night for up to 2 dogs with a maximum fee of three times XX per stay. I did the Wyndham text check-in process and confirmed that we had two dogs. I received an email from Wyndham confirming my two dogs and charging me the stated pet fee of XX for two nights. Upon arrival at the hotel, no mention was made of their pet policy nor was I asked to sign any paperwork regarding my pets which made perfect sense since I had taken care of the pet fee through the Wyndham text check-in system.
We stayed for two nights with two dogs and were charged a pet fee that was triple the stated nightly fee and double the stated maximum fee. When questioned, the hotel manager, Lyn, informed me that the hotel has their own pet policy which is different than Wyndham’s and I was at fault because I did not call the hotel to verify the pet fee. Also, it was my fault for not asking at check-in for paperwork regarding their pet policy. At no time were we informed of nor did we consent to paying the hotel’s unpublished pet fee.
We travel often with our pets and have never encountered a problem such as this. Based on the way we were treated by the hotel manager, our recommendation would be for pet owners to stay away from this hotel.
