The hotel was okay, much as expected. Friendly people at the reception, cleaning staff did their job well, and the general "feel" of the hotel was good.
The room was small. A bed with a narrow space to the opposite wall where the door to the balcony was. A small table, a doorless shelf-closet (a door would not be able to be opened against the bed). A small (standard) hotell flat-TV with a Spanish speaking channels (except for Discovery and the Disney Channel).
The bathroom was of a normal size.
Except for the horrendous bed in my room, dodgy wifi reception on the first floor rooms, and a non-cooperative AC, I got what I paid for; a place to sleep, call on nature, shower, keep my stuff, and have a mid-day pit-stop.
The hotel entrance is located in what looks like a back alley, but don't let that put you off. There are several fruit vendors, "super markets" (for water and misc), and restaurants in very close proximity to the hotel.
Positive:
- Friendly staff.
- Clean rooms.
- Good wifi (BUT! Only when reception was available).
- Balcony for 2nd floor and up.
- Small sitting area for first floor residents.
Negative:
- Hard bed. NOT comfortable at all. Woke up stiff as a board.
- Broken AC? Hot as an oven the first night (AC was off). The following nights it was like sleeping in a freezer (temperature adjustment broken?) with the thin sheets. Had to get an extra blanket!
- Poor wifi reception (at least on the first floor).
