I received a complimentary room upgrade thanks to the initiative of the front office staff member, Gigi.
The hotel is terribly outdated, and the room was dusty, indicating that housekeeping standards are below par. Unlike other hotels, no plastic or recycled bottles were provided. The bedspread and such caused me to develop rashes, and my skin became incredibly itchy after bathing. The hotel breakfast was the worst I’ve experienced among all the hotels I stayed at in Hong Kong and Macau.
In the surrounding area, food options are quite limited, aside from cafés and perhaps a few small Japanese shops.
The only redeeming feature of this hotel is the absolutely stunning harbour view. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it and would suggest staying at the Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour instead, where I spent my first week.
