Before I give all of my feedback of why you shouldn’t stay at the Garden Suites By Melia, I want to say the staff are incredibly friendly and kind. It truly made what would have been a disaster stay enjoyable.I can’t believe the money I paid to stay in the garden suite swim up room. The room is incredibly out dated, fixtures coming out of the walls, broken step outside, pool handle almost completely out of the ground, and mold, rips, and stains on our pool loungers. Not to mention you need to SLAM the door to shut it, every time we left the room guests were looking at us in shock. The phone did not work, and you are not provided a book or menu for the 24/7 room service. That was supposed to be included and we weren’t even able to use it once. Our room had shampoo and bubble bath only upon arrival, we had to ask for body wash, conditioner, and hand soap. We never received hand soap for the bath room. There is an app for Meliá that is advertised everywhere to download. We did this before our trip and scoped out restaurant and bars only to find out none of them were available to us and only to”Palm Real” guests. The save and grace to this trip was that you have access to the Falcon Resort, if we didn’t have the ability to spend our days and eat all of our meals there we probably would have left. The buffet Oligen at Falcon resort is the absolute best option for Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner. All entertainment is at the Falcon as well, you are not told times or days of events though
