I recently stayed at Novotel Abu Dhabi and was quite disappointed. The check-in experience was poor; the staff member struggled with English and gave incorrect information about the restaurant hours. The room was not as advertised, with a sofa bed that was much smaller than expected. The room was clean but felt dated, and there were several issues such as a broken bathroom door knob, an almost empty shower gel dispenser, and insufficient towels for our family.
Despite requesting additional towels and for the sofa bed to be prepared, housekeeping failed to deliver. It was only after multiple calls and a late-night request that they finally assisted. The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable and too small for two children. Additionally, the room lacked proper bedding and blankets, which made for an uncomfortable night.
The dinner buffet was overpriced for the quality offered, and the staff's attitude was not welcoming. Breakfast was better, but overall, the stay was disappointing. I expected more from Novotel and will not be returning.
