Billigt, sentralt, skittent, hyggelig betjening, lytt, korte senger. Vanskelig å finne inngangen. Bra wifi.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. The kitchen, Salas, wc shower and room are well maintained and spotless :-) however there's no AC. Prepare for cardio exercise as it is located on the 4th floor and no elevator. Had a nice stay here :-)

I had a comfortable 3-night guesthouse stay that felt cosy like visiting grandma's house back in time. The reception and service was friendly and the Portuguese tiling and furnishings full of character. Best I loved the central location for walking around the beautiful old town, the main shopping streets lined with restaurants and to the waterfront. The city views from the balconies are very pretty and the location is super quiet because there is no vehicular traffic below. My single room was small with a sink (shared toilet and shower in hallway), and a cooling fan, heater and extra blankets that I didn't need in July. A basic kitchen (fridge, microwave) and sitting room with tv are shared, and free tea/coffee with biscuits are provided. The free wifi worked well and there were several outlets in the room for charging devices. I would recommend asking for a room with a balcony and bringing light luggage only, as the guesthouse is on the 4th floor and there is no lift in the building.

It was surprisingly good

I stayed 2 nights in the Pensao Aljubarrota and it suited my needs perfectly, I do hope to stay there again in the future, it might not suit everyone's tastes as it is rather old fashioned, the stairs are very steep and it's a long climb to the 4th floor and there are no TV's in the rooms, but it is very clean, and has a very handy kitchen where guests can cook their own meals, the location is very central and only a short walk from trams, metro, Rossio railway station etc., there are lot's of places to eat nearby and there is a McDonnalds a short walk away with free wifi. This hotel is very reasonably priced and the staff are super friendly and a pleasure to deal with, to sum up the rooms are basic, but it is clean, the location is central and the staff are brilliant.
