Very Average
Location is excellent, the surrounding area in the tiny lanes of Chania - very quiet. Entrance was via a key lock safe at the door. All fine. Very steep wooden stairs to our room on the first floor. VERY small room, Extremely small bathroom. Reasonably good wifi which didn't work on the balcony. We were woken up 2 times during the night with guests returning... and one leaving early in the morning. the problem wasn't the guests themselves it was the very loud stairs. The other very loud noise was the water when the shower/toilet being used in the room above us. I stay in a lot of hotels and I feel it only fair to point things out to the owners or management - some see it as complaining, I call it being honest as if they don't know what the issues are - they can't fix them! The owner has already said that carpet on the stairs is not an option because of the cleaning issues. Fair enough - but nice as the location was, and the owner - I shall not stay again.

Quirky room in quiet, comfortable hotel.
The hotel is located in a very quiet street, close to the waterfront. The room was furnished in traditional style and benefited from having a large jacuzzi in addition to the shower and toilet. The bed was comfortable and the a/c worked quietly and effectively. Wi-fi worked well over 4 days apart from one short break. The owner, while keeping a low profile, was extremely hospitable.

In the maze of Old Town. Beautiful room. No regular staffing, note to call to say you arrived and he will come. He did, with a nice bottle of wine. Last I saw of anyone in three days stay. Nice in some ways, disconcerting in others. Very beautiful room.

We were welcomed from the moment we got there. The location was perfect for our Greek vacation experience. The room had lots of charm and was very clean. We will definitely come back here on our next visit.

A lovely weekend in Old Chania town
This is a wonderful old building in Chania town. We stayed in Apartment 7 with the roof terrace opposite where you can see the sea views and the famous old lighthouse. The owner was very kind and gave us fresh oranges for juicing which was wonderful. The bed was 10/10 for comfort and plenty of hot water.

Amazing Hotel with Kind-Hearted Owner
My boyfriend and I had an amazing time staying at Archontiko Evgenia. I highly recommend staying here. The owner is very kind-hearted and sweet older gentleman! Although it was late, the owner met us upon arrival, showed us our room, and provided us with fresh fruit and a bottle of wine. He also took the time to show us the map and give us pointers on where we should visit around town. The room itself was very clean and huge! It was cleaned well every day, and the room has a small kitchenette with a mini fridge. It has cooking tools as well as coffee and tea. The place was also located in the perfect area for exploring! It was in a safe, very cute part of Old Town Chania. Overall, this was such a wonderful, clean, place with beautiful decor and character! An added plus is the amazingly affordable price. We would definitely stay here again!

A wonderful Chania experience!
Stellios the owner was the perfect host. Upon our arrival he made sure everything was perfect and even supplied us with oranges so we could squeeze our own OJ in the mornings! He arranged dinners and taxies for us and was always available if we had any questions. The room was beautiful and so romantic complete with a balcony overlooking a picturesque alley. The location was great, a few steps from the harbor and so convenient to all attractions. Overall an incredible experience!

Perfect stay in Chania
Evgenia was perfect for our stay in Chania. We are a young couple and it gave exceptional service for the price. On arrival the staff had a basket of oranges picked from his own tree. There was tea and coffee to make each morning. The location was perfect, only moments from the harbour. Would recommend this location to anyone.

Quirky studio
Not the lap of luxury but unforgettable view and amazing welcome from the lovely Stelios. You need to be ok with stairs but if you end up on the top floor, it's definitely worth it!

Could not get much better for a great price
Staying here was amazing - our most enjoyable stay in Europe. It is a really cute family business who went above and beyond to help with everything they could to make our stay in Crete amazing. They gave really good tips on where to go, and helped out with things that other places would not. The room was really nice - great facilities, really cute and very clean. The location is perfect, we could not have hoped for better. The only thing that could be improved is that the bed was not great, it was a bit hard and springy. Apart from that, I would highly recommend.

Very nice place in the hearth of the old town
Lovely place to stay! Good size rooms just in the hearth of the old town. The hotel is very close to restaurants and bars but manages some how to keep the noises away. We were given delicious fresh oranges every day that Stelios - the owner - grows in his own land. The staff was polite and professional and the place was clean, we had our room done every day. Would definitely recommend - choose room 7, great view and access to the terrace.
