This hotel obviously has varying standards based on our experience and pictures posted by previous guests. We were unlucky and were assigned two rooms (first floor) with several problems, not consistent with the high quality promoted by the hotel.
The shower area was separated simply by curtains (pictures attached) which were sucked inwards sticking to your skin while showering. Due to poor execution of floor work and drainage, the water would wet the whole floor, making the tiles by the sink and WC slippery. You should insist on switching rooms with bath tubs or glass doors (exhibited on pictures posted by the hotel) to avoid this frustrating experience.
Our rooms had rot fungus damage producing a musty and uncomfortable smell.
It was not possible to adjust the air condition, even after we alerted the straff and they «fixed» it. At max. 18-20 degrees C (64-68 F), making it necessary to sleep in extra sweaters or jackets.
The breakfast buffet was disappointing (limited options), not living up to 4-star standards. The only coffee machine available was slow and had guests waiting in, at times, long lines in a small and crowded area. The coffee was flat and tasteless.
The elevator was extremely due to the simultanous rush of breakfast and housekeeping. Going from 1st to 6th floor (breakfast) took up to 10 minutes, long wait with several stops. Given optimal walking ability it was faster by stairs.
The housekeeping staff was friendly, and they did a great and thorough job.
