The family running this place are kind, diligent, and seem to care a lot. The rest of this review, please take in the context that this is a cheap motel: the rooms are about as clean as they can be - well above and beyond most other motels. The shower was small (single person) but seemed to be the most updated thing in the room and the design they chose was nice and added character to the place. The noise was pretty loud in the room, both from semi trucks passing on the road outside (it's a roadside motel, after all), and from people standing near our room and talking, as you could hear every word as long as they were there.
If these things are not a big deal to you, then for the price, you honestly get a lot: the room, DirectTV cable with a lot of channels, and a simple continental breakfast. It was a great value for the price, honestly
Strange side note: two of the family members were outside our door painting the bricks of the front of the motel for hours on end. It freaked my wife out, as a man was standing right in our doorway for an hour while I was out running errands. It would have been nice to have some notice that there was going to be work done on the facility near our room, rather than having her scared in the room while someone is standing ominously outside the door (or so it seemed from inside). The man was really just painting above the door, but they could have said something so we would know that was happening, is all.
