Good service, dirty hotel
When we arrived there were several people waiting in line to get a room. The male receptionist was very chatty and took his time but was helpful. He told us that the motel had a new owner and that they renovated parts of the hotel. Our first impression of the room was not the best. We felt like this was a place for all kinds of bugs. The floor carpet was very dirty and had stains all over, and the only furniture in the room (except the beds) was old and stained. However, the receptionist was super nice and personally carried both a fridge and a micro to our room which we really appreciated. The bathroom was ok, and the bed sheets actually looked clean and new. Wifi was very good.
The breakfast was disappointing! The only offer was some sort of frozen "cakes" you had to prepare in a microwave. I heated some waffles, wich tasted like a sponge since they were out of syrup. The only ok thing was the coffee. The breakfast would have been much better with hot water/tea, some bread, and jam or simply some oatmeal.
Overall, the hotel has a great location close to both Bryce and Zion National Park. However, the rooms were dirty and overpriced and the breakfast was absolutely disappointing. I would have given the hotel a low 2 if it wasn't for the very helpful and friendly receptionist. I would have given the hotel a much better score for a better breakfast and cleaner rooms (remove the dirty carpets). Hopefully, it will be better after the renovation.
