Don`t expect much.
I booked for three weeks, prepaid. Was arriving a few days late and left them a message that I was going to be late. When I arrived in the morning they told me I had to wait until 2.30 before check in.
( Even if I had paid for the three previous nights )
It could have been a good experience, but the hotel management has decided on being a group hotel for come -and -go tourist buses and not a quality hotel with good service. The staff is friendly but very incompetent with trivial, basic concerns. Only one elevator so the cleaners have their stuff in there often. They do not care about the dont disturb/ make up my room. I am not sure if they even know what it means. They would clean the room at their own convenience every day day. So if I was out for 8 hours with the make up my room sign on the door, it would still not be done when I came back. I would put up the dont disturb sign and they would unlock and jump in. If I was in, they simply put a few towels utside the door. At the pool there are maybe 10 sun beds, but only 5 cushions. The hotel is very dirty when you start looking. The bathtub on the terrace does not have warm water. Its for show.
Aircon started leaking. I told them to please fix it while I was out in errands. On my return the maintenance guy would start working. No wifi in the room. And they did not care.
Location is good for restaurants, but far from the beach.
The Regent have the possibility to become a good hotel if the owners wants to.
