I would recommend Villa Sirena to anyone that wants to experience a great family run hotel. The rooms were nice, a bit small but had a newly redone bathroom, good AC, and a beautiful view from the large terrace equipped with lounge chairs, the staff were very attentive towel changes and maid service daily. The one downfall was no fridge, but they had no problem providing an ice bucket for our afternoon and evening wines for the terrace. The pool was modest sized but quiet, and also included a whirlpool room, surrounded by vegetation that is likely used in the kitchen of the incredible restaurant. We are from NYC and have high standards when it comes to food and experience, this place really hit all the marks for the price.
The best part about this hotel is the restaurant. The breakfast is typical italian pastries, yogurts, meats and cheeses, as well as fresh fruit picked from their grounds, served by the family patriarch.
Lunch is a smaller menu to the dinner, but great for a mid day meal in between activities.
Dinner however is fantastic, we dined at the islands 2 michelin star restaurant one night, while a beautiful experience, we preferred the tasting menu at Villa Sirena. The chef makes great versions of Italian classics (the rabbit was best I've ever had), the anchovies were fresh and perfectly flavored, and the pizza (prepared by Guido, the son and do everything guy) was some of, if not the best, we have ever had.
Thanks so much!
