We arrived 4 hours before check-in, and could therefore not get our room. Fair enough. Our luggage could be stored in the back. When we came to check in, approx 6 hours later, the receptionist tried to get us to pay, but it took a while before he would say for what. Apparently they had not registered our non-refundable payment (to Hotels.com) 2 months before. So we had to prove that we had already paid.
We were assigned room 1A - this is located in the basement (where the elevator does not go), and under the stairs. So we had the fun of dragging our suitcases up and down the very steep, and small stairs. We were also rewarded with a lot of noise every time someone went into the building/hallway above, were running in the stairs, our upstairs neighbors (2A+2B) were running around and redecorating, the personnel(?) were running up and down or took smoke breaks in the outside stairs/garden outside of our room. So it was noisy for most of the day to say the least.
Our stay were for 4 days, 3 nights. And therefore one would assume that we would get new towels, toilet paper, soap and that someone would empty the trash on the 3rd day, as it is stated on Hotels.com's page that they do so every 3rd day, they do not provide this service for "such a short stay". Upon our arrival we had one roll of toilet paper, and two soaps, whereof one was a used leftover from the guest before us(!). So when we requested new towels, soap and toilet paper we could not get any soap(!) Location is good
