Long story short: it’s cheap (ish), quite dirty, kinda sketchy and old. Thin walls, not made for light sleepers, & way too warm!
Good (ish) location, price & friendly staff are the only positives.
Not worth saving a few pounds to stay here!
Cons:
- Definitely not the cleanest hotel! I think the cleanest part of my room was the toilet, not the whole bathroom (all the black spots in the shower is concerning) but the toilet itself was nice & clean. Pretty hairy bed!
- Paper thin walls!! I was listening to my neighbour snoring all night, it was like they were in the same room as me!!
- My room didn’t have a ‘do not disturb’ sign, although all my neighbors did?! I didn’t get the sign when I asked for it and the room only got cleaned when I asked for cleaning.
- Tiny, old, creaky (& creepy) stairs & no elevator. Not suited for big/heavy luggage.
- No ac, so it gets quite hot and stuffy!
- Small complaint: the hotels pictures look good, but I haven’t seen anyone share pictures from the room I had. And I think I know why, cause it’s not as nice as the other ones shared.
Pros:
- Very welcoming, talkative & helpful staff!
- There’s a Sainsbury’s on the other side of the road, so snacks/drinks for the room is easy.
- Only five min to the tube, which is nice.
- It is quite a bit cheaper than most hotels in London, but I’m not sure it’s worth it. I’d recommend spending a bit more another place to be more comfortable!!
