Hotel hell or below average?
The buses run every other hour to Haram. This makes it very inconvenient for for someone who suddenly must get back to the hotel.
The food is not of the best quality, and the variety is poor.
The rooms are not properly cleaned by the staff; there were cockroaches in our rooms (I had booked 2 rooms, and both had cockroaches).
Initially, I had to repeatedly ask for towels and shampoo.
The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night; I asked the reception what had happened, and they said it was just a test. I mentioned working with fire alarms and that this was nonsense. When I looked at the panel, the fire alarm was active, only the sirens were turned off. The receptionist then suggested someone might have smoked. I had to insist they check; not sure if it was done. All in all, not a nice stay. Won't come back here.
