Great location - when you are out of the hotel you are close to everything. Hotel is in a very old building, and yes it is charming, BUT it smells like an old cellar, not only the room but the smell hits you when you open the front door, so I was glad we had only 2 days there. At arrival we met an empty desk with a note that they would come soon and a phone number to call, this number was not "in use". After some time the receptionist arrived, not very friendly. The room lacked bathroom articles (shampoo etc) which. you would expect to find in a hotel like tihis. When I later asked for it, the replay was a question if we didnt have the room cleaned that day, when I told the man that we arrived the same day, he replied that "he would go and look if he could find something........." Since the room was very warm I put the aircondition on high and we went out for a while. ´When back again there was A LOT of water on the floor from condense from the aircondition. I also saw marks on the floor that this was not the first time, so I worried about the quality of the air in the room. It was very noisy from a restaurant outside, and after it closed people were sitting around there so the noise did not end before 1 am. It was difficult to close the door to the room. We had to walk for about 10 minutes to get breakfast at another "hotel", the breakfast was not good, sweaty cheese, and not delicate as you would expect in a 4 star hotel. Julie in the staff was very nice -
