Thalang

Thalang is one of the 3 districts that make up Phuket and is located in the northern part of the island. If you’re staying at Patong you’ll pass through the district on your way to your hotel as Phuket International Airport is in the northern part of Thalang district. Take small side roads that lead you to local villages (where you can still see some old wooden houses), rubber plantations, beaches and a few national parks. A big annual event not to be missed, especially for culture enthusiasts is the Thao Thepkasattri-Thao Sri Suntorn Festival.
