Central hotel for exploring Seoul
Overall happy with our stay, but a few things to note:
The breakfast was very expensive (23000 won) per person per day. Therefore we opted for cafes and restaurants instead since this was less expensive.
The beds were fairly hard to lay on. Got some back issues especially after the first night.
The room was specious enough, but I really don’t like carpets at hotels as they are not as clean.
Also there are a lot of floors and the elevator is often very slow since it’s stopping on every floor, especially during peek hours.
The location was good for exploring Myeongdong and to get around Seoul, and also meet-up points for bus trips outside of Seoul. Close to the subway, shopping and restaurants/cafes.
Lastly we were a bit upset with the staff when we asked about a taxi to the airport. We asked early in the day if we should order a taxi in advance and were told that wasn’t necessary. When we did ask for a taxi to take us to the airport this ended up almost making us too late for the flight due to heavy traffic and the taxi taking some time to pick us up. We are not blaming the staff for the traffic but it would have been nice to know that we should have left for the airport 5 or even 6 hours before the flight, specifically since we asked if we should book in advance. But anyway we made it and lesson learned. Leave early if you have an afternoon flight since traffic is worse at this time.
