Good things first: location is excellent, great rooftop for tanning, and the people working the front desk were nice.
Now the bad: this hotel is in desperate need of renovation. We had to ask for a change of room, as our premium room was horrible with harsh blue lighting, hard beds and a general run down and tired look. We were not able to change until our third day, but the change was barely for the better. We got bigger windows and room, but the same run down look and harsh blue lighting. The new room had a couch, that was stained, which is not very appealing.
The hotel is straight friendly, but it doesn’t feel gay friendly in terms of its service: I got the sense that they are trying to squeeze this affluent segment for money: for example if you need a towel to shower after using the gym: 1 Euro. Want to shower after checking out: 5 Euros (which is just insane!). Oh and the gym: good selection although a bit small, but don’t you dare make any noise. And no running intervals, as that ruins (?!) the machine. Only area where this hotel tries to provide some sort of service, were the free water bottles by the pool for its guests (and a super friendly guy tending the bar there).
All of this would be ok, if this was a relatively cheap hotel, but for the price per night we paid for a premium room, we are hardly satisfied.
