The apartment was great and the staff was excellent.
Always a large golf cart going by which always asked if you needed a ride to the beach, etc.
And the staff was not pushy for tips, as in some places. They realize you are there to have fun, and do not want to think of tipping every time you get a ride or directions.
The restaurants are a bit expensive, but they have good family priced options too…a chicken place that was nice and pizza, etc.
Very secure, with guards patrolling.
The beach was nice, with enough beach chairs and umbrellas (no cost).
Beware of some rocky areas in the water…Macao beach water/sand is better, but you have too many people trying to sell you stuff.
Biggest issue is that it is far from Punta Cana.
As well, you need from 20-60 minutes to get to any excursions…
We did a Buggy ride through the mud to the Macao beach, which was fun, but no Ubers would come to get us…Finally talked to a staff member getting off work, and he took us back to make some cash.
All in all this place is very nice, but be reminded of the distance, etc.
