I traveled with four girlfriends, all in the early twenties. We came very late in the evening due to a delayed flight. The check-in office was luckily open, but the receptionist was very slow and didn't seem to care that there very people waiting in line. We had to wait about 25 minutes extra before we could check in, just because the receptionist worked so slowly. When it finally was our turn, he was not very nice to us. The hotel had a very strict noise-policy which he made sure that we knew about, but not in a very nice manner. He almost accused us of planning to party in the apartment and talked a lot about fees and calling the police and kicking us out if we made much noise, which was quite uncomfortable. When we left the check-in area and got to the apartment we were almost frightened to even talk to each other. Not a nice experience. The apartment itself was nice and spacious, though! Nice bedrooms and kitchen, two ok bathrooms, and a nice sofa area. The area is very quiet, and there is a super market just across the street. The tube is just a short walk away, so is cafes and Borough market.
All in all, we enjoyed the stay and the apartment was nice, but the experience at the reception really dampened our spirits and ruined the impression of the hotel for us. I would recommend this apartment if you are a family traveling together, but not for friends - unless you want to be shamed as troublemakers upon arrival.
