Entering the apartment directly from the elevator and seeing the interior for the first time was mindblowing. The pictures are nice, but you really have to see the place for yourself. The owner, Eric, was a very nice and accommodating host - explaining a bit about the building itself, but also giving tips on stuff to check out in Girona. The apartment had a very tasteful mix of modern amenities and old history, with things like a roof section from the 1400s and a Roman wall in the garden. Since there was no staffed reception in the building, the items in the bar area was free of charge. It's located in a very quiet area of town with no traffic, but still only a short walk from sights, cafés and bars. The only thing I regret was not staying there more than one night. Possibly the coolest hotel experience I've ever had.
